Hard rock mining applications put a significantly greater strain on heavy equipment compared to soft rock mining. We have seen work lamp brands last for years on certain coal mines and when used on the same dozers in the Pilbara mining region in Western Australia they fail within months.

We have seen expensive LED lamps fail quickly when mounted on the rear of a haul truck chassis. APS was able to, in this case, provide its customers with a lower cost LED product that had already been tested in this application and proven itself far more durable and better suited to handle the demanding operating conditions.
