Xtreme PreView™ is a solid-state, pulsed radar object detection system designed to alert vehicle operators to obstacles. The system detects both moving and stationary objects in a pre-defined coverage area and reports the distance of the closest object via visual range indicators and an audible signal to a vehicle operator. The PreView™ system is designed to supplement other safety practices and is not intended to be the sole method of collision avoidance.

The Xtreme PreView™ sensor is designed to operate in extreme environmental conditions. Heat, cold, rain, snow, high winds, and fog do not affect the operation of the unit. In fact, the system is designed to operate in temperatures from 185ºF (+85ºC) to –40ºF (-40ºC). In addition to temperature extremes, the sensor has been designed to withstand high vibration environments found in both on and off road operating conditions. The sensor does not require cleaning, but it can be washed, even with a high-pressure fire hose without damage since the unit is completely sealed with a durable urethane material.
