These Inverters are designed specifically for DC Heavy Equipment. The CSI 1000VA and 1500VA Sine Wave Output Inverters are 24V Input 230VAC output. The circuit boards have been ruggedized with conformal coatings to withstand heavy duty operating conditions. These are the recommended DC-AC Inverters for using the MRSE Sturdilite 400W and 1000W flood lights on DC Equipment.
Case Study: Hitachi EX5500 Shovel, Peru
These Inverters have been successfully used by APS customer Hitachi at the Yanacocha Mine in Peru since Nov 2005 to add an additional 1,200W of HID/Metal Halide light output to a Hitachi EX5500 Shovel. The Inverters were mounted in the cab of the shovel. Prior to the installation the customer used 16 x A9720F HID 24V 35W Work Lamps. Now in addition to these 16 fixtures they have added 3 x MRSE 400 B (Wide Beam) fixtures in the following configuration: 1 x MRSE 400 above the cab 1 x MRSE 400 on the other side of the boom 1 x MRSE at the rear of the machine
These 3 fixtures are run off 1 x 1500 inverter 24VDC-220VAC which pulls approximately 65amps. Use of these wide beam fixtures allows a significant improvement in machine perimeter lighting and overcomes the need for use of mobile lighting plants.
