Case Study: Solar-powered Remote Lighting

APS were approached to help provide an effective lighting solution for a pit mine.

Problem: An open pit mine in the state of Sonora, Mexico needed lights for a road inside the mine at the point where they change from right to left hand drive. The lights needed to be solar powered on top of a 10-meter pole and they needed to last the whole night.

Solution: After talking with Vision X and G3 Engineering on different options, APS decided to go with the Vision X VL-Pitmaster 48V DC Tower Light. G3 worked on the logistics, and three weeks after, they installed and tested the first lights. Thus far, they have been very happy with the results, and may order more in the future.
